What's the purpose of the bubble blisters on soft drink plastic covers?
When you purchase a fountain drink at a place like McDonalds or Burger King, you get a plastic cover with bubble blisters on top. In the past I've noticed that the bubbles were labeled with "diet", etc. but recently have seen the bubbles without any labels. Do these bubble blisters serve any purpose? Or are they just there to push down on?

to tell you what drink they contain, but somethimes they don't include even the soda names on the tap.
i always thought they were so you can tell the difference in sodas. like, if you're with a bunch of friends and you all got something different, but all the cups are cluttered together or somethin, you'll know which ones yours b/c the bubble is pushed down, y'know? i cant explain it very well.
